Rezultati: Rezultati ukazuju da najveći rezultat u varijabli Uek-U imaju studenti primaljstva (59,47±9,26), dok u varijabli Uek-I najveći rezultat imaju studenti sestrinstva (51,39±6,08), a najveći rezultat u varijabli Uek-R imaju studenti fizioterapije (63,25±6,83). U varijabli empatije najveći rezultat opet imaju studenti primaljstva (62,13±7,42).
Sažetak (engleski) | Aim: Determining differences in emotional competence (the ability of noticing and understanding, researching and naming, regulating and managing emotions) and empathy in students of different health studies programs and determining predictor importance of aspects of emotional competence on the emotional skill.
Method: The research has been conducted in January 2015 (on 91 participants in total). All of the participants were Health Studies students (Nursing, Midwifery, Radiologic Technology and Medical Laboratory Diagnostics) in Split. Two questionnaires have been used for the purpose of the research. The first questionnaire is the Emotional Competencies Questionnaire ECQ-45 which consists of 3 subscales, and second is an E-questionnaire: Emotional empathy and imagination scale. The participants were requested an oral agreement on voluntary participation in the study, and the descriptive statistics was used for data processing.
Results: The results indicate that the highest score in the Uek-U variable have the Midwifery students (59,47±9,26), while the Nursing students have the highest score on the Uek-I variable (51,39±6,08), and the Physiotherapy students have the highest score on the Uek-R variable (63,25±6,83). On the empathy variable once again the Midwifery students have the highest score. It has been determined that the ability of noticing emotions (β= 0,4, p= 0,001) and the emotional regulation (β= 0,34, p= 0,01) predict the empathy skills of the Health Studies students. Likewise, the difference between male and female sex has been determined in the Uek-U variable (t= 2,16, p<0,03) and the empathy variable (t= 2,81, p= 0,006). 95% confidence interval for the UEk-U variable for male sex is (45,71-58,04), and for female sex (55,72-59,56), while on the empathy variable for male sex is (45,71-58,04), and for female sex is (56,82-60,57).
Conclusion: In the conclusion of the results of our research, it can be concluded that the results refer to the lack of differences in the emotional competence between the students of various university programs of Health Studies, while there is a significant statistical confirmation that the abilities of noticing emotions and emotional regulations predict the empathy skills of the Health Studies students and that there is a significant statistical difference between the male and the female sex on the Uek-U variable and the empathy variable. It is necessary to conduct research on the higher number of subjects. |
