Peripheral palsy of facial nerve is a disease that affects the daily life of patients and their families. People who suffer from facial pasy need support to accept the condition of their acute onset facial appearance which they are experiencing and realize the importance of rehabilitation and physical therapy. There is no general protocol model of rehabilitation in order to symptoms which occur individually for each patient. It is important that patients are provided with support so they do not get depressed due to the mental state which is important for physical functioning. Medical treatment is provided by using corticosteroids, which have an antiviral and reducing nerve edema effect. Additional antiviral medications can be suggested for use if necessary. Apart from the use of drug medicine, it is also necessary to direct a patient onto the rehabilitation treatment using physical therapy methods. Functional assessment identifies and objectifies the functional deficit of the patient so that way of objectification improves the quality and outcome of medical rehabilitation. The process can thus be directed to the activity that is most affected and to those functions that affects most onto the quality of life of the patient.
