Abstract
Znanstveno, do danas nije točno razjašnjena patofiziologija HELLP sindroma. Sindrom HELLP, je težak oblik preeklampsije kojega klinički karakterizira hemoliza, povišeni jetreni enzimi, te mali broj trombocita. Značajno je da su hemoliza i mali broj trombocita prepoznati kao komplikacije teške hipertenzivne bolesti u trudnoći prije više od 100 godina. HELLP zahvaća približno deset posto svih trudnoća s preeklampsijom/eklampsijom. U 70% bolesnica sindrom HELLP se razvija prije porođaja, u drugom ili trećem tromjesečju trudnoće, a u 30% bolesnica razvija se nakon porođaja. Od najčešćih simptoma treba spomenuti osjećaj opće slabosti, bol ili nelagodnost u epigastriju, mučninu, povraćanje te glavobolju. U radu je prikazana etiologija, patogeneza i simptomatologija HELLP sindroma. Važno je educirati trudnice i medicinsko osoblje kako rano prepoznati HELLP sindrom, te koliko je bitna pravovremena uporaba terapeutskih metoda/postupaka.
Abstract (english)
Scientifically even today pathophysiology of HELLP syndrom hasn't been exactly clarified. Syndroma HELLP is severe form of preeclampsia which is clinically characterized by hemolysis, elevated liver enzymes, and low platelet count. It is significant that hemolysis and low platelet count had been recognized as a complication of severe hypertension in pregnancy more than a hundred years ago. HELLP affects approximately ten percent of all pregnancies with preeclampsia/eclampsia. In seventy percent of cases HELLP syndroma is developed before birth, in second or third trimester and in thirty percent of cases after child birth. Most common symptoms worth mentioning are feeling of general weakness, pain or discomfort in epigastrium, nausea, vomiting and headache. This paper present etiology, pathogenesis, symptomatology of HELLP syndrome. It is important to educate pregnant woman how to prevent (the occurrence) of HELLP syndrome and hoe important use of therapeutic methodies/procedure is.
