Abstract
Školska medicina je grana medicine koja prati i proučava razvoj i zdravlje školske djece i mladeži, prilike u kojima žive te utvrđuje i provodi mjere za očuvanje i unaprjeđenje njihova zdravlja. Vrlo je važna posebna grana medicine koja se bavi isključivo tom populacijom. Kako je od samog početka najvažnija zadaća bila neuhranjenost i epidemijske bolesti, danas u 21. stoljeću imamo nove probleme vezane za promatranu populaciju. Zadaća školske medicine je briga za mentalno zdravlje, reproduktivno zdravlje, prehranu, tjelesnu aktivnost, higijenu te nasilje među mladima. Vrlo je važna aktivnost medicinske sestre u timu školske medicine. Njezin najvažniji zadatak je zdravstveni odgoj ove mlade populacije.
Abstract (english)
School Medicine is a medical branch that monitors and studies the development and health of school children and young people, the circumstances in which they live, and establishes and implements measures to preserve and improve health. It is very important to have a special branch of medicine that deals exclusively with this population. Since the very beginning, the most important task was malnutrition and disease outbreaks, today, in the 21st century, we have new problems related to that population. The task of school medicine is to care for mental health, reproductive health, nutrition, physical activity, hygiene and youth violence. It is of great importance to the activity of nurses in the school medicine team. Her most important task is the health education of this young population.
