Ischemic heart disease is one of the leading causes of death in the world. From all the health care professionals, especially those in medical emergency service, is expected to effectively assess and recognize life threatening conditions and to apply the measures of basic and advanced life support. This thesis describes processing acute coronary patient from phase of symptom recognition to transporting in medical facility. Functioning of medical emergency service in the field conditions is organized through teams T1 and T2 which have different roles and level of competence. Standard of care set guidelines is recommended by the European Council for Resuscitation Council (ERC). During the medical intervention judgment should be made very quickly and competently, so training and expertise come into expression. In addition, recognition of symptoms by patient affects final result of intervention, because it’s a basic prerequisite to seek medical attention and thereby increase his chances. Through example of case study, nearly all components of causes, diagnosis and functioning of health care team in field conditions are described. The nursing diagnosis (problems) can be set and part of them is related mainly to the current state of the patient. Undertaken interventions are related to emergency care of life-threatening conditions. In field conditions process of health care can be applied, but it’s limited and is linked to respecting certain specific features, which carries the work in emergency medical services.
