Abstract
Shizofrenija je poremećaj koji ima nepoznati uzrok, obilježena psihotičkim simptomima koji oštećuju funkcioniranje i uzrokuju smetnje u mišljenju, ponašanju i osjećanju. Shizofrenija je kronična bolest kod koje izlječenje nije moguće međutim može se kontrolirati redovitim uzimanjem propisanih antipsihotika. Jedan od najozbiljnijih problema u liječenju shizofrenije je izostanak terapijske suradnje i neredovito uzimanje lijekova. Klasični antipsihotici su iziskivali svakodnevno konzumiranje, stalnu kontrolu te su imali puno više nuspojava, za razliku od suvremenih antipsihotika koji osiguravaju trajnu koncentraciju lijeka u dužem vremenskom periodu uz minimalne oscilacije. U terapiji novim antipsihoticima uloga medicinske sestre je od iznimne važnosti. Naime ona vodi dnevnik terapije te prati stanje i redovitost primanja terapije. Također daje terapiju, nadzire bolesnika, prati reakcije i prisustvo mogućih nuspojava te u slučaju nesuradljivosti kontaktira osobe nadležne za stanje bolesnika.
Abstract (english)
Schizophrenia is a disorder with unknown cause, characterized by psychotic symptoms that damage the functioning and causes changes in thinking, feeling and behavior. Schizophrenia is a chronic disease with no cure, however, it can be controlled by usage of regular prescribed antipsychotics. One of the most serious problems in the treatment of schizophrenia is the lack of therapeutic cooperation and erratic drug taking. Classic antipsyhotics require daily consumption, constant control and they have more side effects, unlike modern antipsychotics that provide ongoing concentration of the drug over a longer period of time with minimal fluctuations. In the treatment with new antipsychotics role of nurses is big importance. Nurse keeps a journal of therapy and monitors the status and regularity of drug treatments. She also provides therapy, supervises patient reactions on drug and monitors possible side effects. In case of non-compliance she contacts the patient or persons responsible for the patients wealthbeing.
