Abstract
Maligne bolesti smatraju se jednim od vodećih javnozdravstvenih problema svakodevnice jer ih obilježava dugotrajni tijek, često doživotnost, smanjena kvaliteta života i moguća prijevremena smrtnost. Maligne bolesti su također danas učestalije u najvećoj mjeri zbog povećanog očekivanog trajanja života i većeg broja osoba koje dostižu godine u kojima se bolesti najčešće javljaju. Smatra se da će se do 2030. godine broj oboljelih od malignih bolesti povećati za 25% stoga je prevencija najvažniji korak u smanjenu rizika za razvoj bolesti. Pravilna prehrana, svakodnevna tjelesna aktivnost, promjena određenog stila života poput prestanka konzumiranja duhanskih proizvoda i alkohola te preventivni pregledi od iznimne su važnosti. U prevenciji veliku ulogu ima i medicinska sestra koja svojim savjetodavnim i edukacijskim aktivnostima nastoji podići razinu zdravstvene svijeti, znanje o potencijalnim rizičnim čimbenicima te ukazati na važnost kontrole zdravlja.
Abstract (english)
Malignant diseases are considered one of the leading public health problems of everyday life because they are characterized by a long course, often life expectancy, reduced quality of life and possible premature mortality. Malignant diseases are also more common today, largely due to increased life expectancy and a greater number of people reaching the age at which the diseases most commonly occur. It is estimated that by 2030, the number of people suffering from malignant diseases will increase by 25%, so prevention is the most important step in reducing the risk of developing the disease. Proper diet, daily physical activity, a change in a certain lifestyle such as stopping the consumption of tobacco products and alcohol, and preventive check-ups are extremely important. A nurse also plays an important role in prevention, and with her counseling and educational activities she seeks to raise the level of the health world, knowledge of potential risk factors and point out the importance of health control.
