Abstract
Primjena MRI srca započela je s kliničkom uporabom ranih 80-ih 20. stoljeća. Napretkom ove tehnike, MRI je, s vremenom postala standardna slikovna metoda u procjeni globanih i regionalnih funkcija sistole, detekciji infarkta miokarda, procjeni njegovog ponovnog oporavka te u analizi tumora na srcu i drugih srčanih bolesti. Prednost MRI u odnosu na druge slikovne metode prevenstveno je što ne koristi ionizirajuće zračenje i odlična kontrastna rezolucija. No, s druge strane, neki od nedostataka su dulje vrijeme pregleda što nije pogodno klaustrofobičnim pacijentima. Zatim osobe koje nisu u mogućnosti dovoljno dugo zadržati dah i slično. S vremenom, kako MRI pronalazi sve veću ulogu u otkrivanju i dijagnosticiranju bolesti srca, razvijaju se nove pulsne sekvence koje cijelokupni pregled čine još preciznijim i detaljnijim smanjujući vrijeme snimanja na osobito zadovoljstvo pacijenata.
Abstract (english)
The use of cardiac MRI began with clinical use in the early 1980s. With the advancement of this technique, MRI has, over time, become the standard imaging method in assessing global and regional systole functions, detecting myocardial infarction, assessing its recovery, and in analyzing heart tumors and other heart diseases. The advantage of MRI over other imaging methods is that it does not use ionizing radiation and excellent contrast resolution. But on the other hand, some of the disadvantages are the longer examination time which is not suitable for claustrophobic patients. Then people who are not able to hold their breath long enough and the like. Over time, as MRI finds an increasing role in the detection and diagnosis of heart disease, new pulse sequences are developed that make the overall examination even more precise and detailed by reducing the recording time to the particular satisfaction of patients.
