Abstract
U ovom radu su opisani protokoli i metode kontrole kvalitete medicinskog linearnog akceleratora. Kroz praktični dio dobiveni su podatci dostupni na radnom mjestu radiološkog tehnologa na medicinskom linearnom akceleratoru. Podaci su generirani na medicinskom linearnom akceleratoru Elekta2 na Klinici za onkologiju i radioterapiju KBC Split, u okviru Programa osiguranja kvalitete za rad s izvorima ionizirajuceg zracenja. U uvodnom dijelu opisane su karakteristike linearnog akceleratora i njegova uloga u liječenju, te sam princip radioterapije u svrhu liječenja onkoloških pacijenata. Danas je to jedan od nezamjenjivih uređaja za tu svrhu. Navedeni su postupci kojima se osigurava jednaka kvaliteta i sigurnost pacijenata i osoblja koje radi na uređajima, a koji se provode svakodnevno pošto je riječ o potencijalno opasnim uređajima čije su posljedice ozbiljne u slučaju nekontroliranog izlaganja ionizirajućem zračenju. Osim protokolarnih postupaka, svi uređaji u upotrebi stalno su povezani s proizvođačem uređaja koji isti može u bilo kojem trenutku kontrolirati i provjeriti ispravnost funkcioniranja. Postupcima provođenja kontrole radioterapije koji se provode u Hrvatskoj svrstavaju radioterapiju u rang ostalih svjetski priznatih država na području radioterapijskog liječenja. Samim time osigurana je visoka kvaliteta liječenja i sigurnosti za pacijente i osoblje. Protokol kontrole kvalitete je standardiziran i provodi se svakodnevno. Kontrola kvalitete provodi se : tjedno, mjesečno i godišnje.
Abstract (english)
This paper describes the protocols and quality control of medical linear accelerator. Forms and documents used for that purpose can be found as attachments to this document. Introduction of this document discusses the characteristics of linear accelerators, and their purpose in medicine, as well as principles of radiotherapy for treatment of oncology patients. Data were generated at the Elekta2 Medical Linear Accelerator at the Clinic for Oncology and Radiotherapy at the Clinical Hospital Center Split, as part of the Quality Assurance Program for working with ionizing radiation sources. Nowadays, it's one of irreplaceple medical devices used for that purpose. Protocols that were mentioned in this document assure equal quality of treatment and safety of both patients and staff working with these device. These protocols are neccessary because of high health risk in case of uncontrolled exposure to radiation. Apart from protocols conducted by medical personel, the machines themselves are in constant online contact with the manufacturer, and can therefore be checked and tuned by them at any time. Radiotheray conduction and control protocols which are enforced in Croatia make our country one of the leading ones in radiotherapy, therefore ensuring high quality of treatment for the patients, as well as safety for the patients and medical personel. Quality control protocol is standardized and enforced daily, with more rigorous controls conducted weekly, monthly and yearly.
