Abstract
Budući da velik dio perinatalne smrtnosti (oko 60 %) otpada na novorođenčad malene rodne težine, a posebno na nedonoščad, razumljivi su napori da se s jedne strane spriječi prijevremeni porođaj, a s druge strane da se već rođenoj nedonoščadi osiguraju optimalni uvjeti koji će na najmanju moguću mjeru smanjiti i neutralizirati djelovanje činilaca povećane ugroženosti za tu skupinu djece. Vrlo ohrabrujući rezultati postignuti su udruženim, smišljenim i organiziranim djelovanjem liječnika opstetričara i pedijatara neonatologa u okviru perinatoloških radnih zajednica pri ustanovama za skrb o ugroženoj trudnoći i ugroženoj novorođenčadi. Iako su suvremena tehnička sredstva u mnogome olakšala, a katkad i omogućila uspješnu njegu i najnezrelije nedonoščadi i novorođenčadi malene težine, ipak još i danas najvažniji faktor uspjeha ostaje, i u budućnosti će uvijek biti, čovjek, sestra i liječnik i po mogućnosti majka, koji će svojim znanjem, uvježbanošću i iskustvom, ali ponajviše savjesnošću i požrtvovnošću iskorištavati tehniku za dobrobit djeteta.
Abstract (english)
It is a medically proven fact that the grounds of death (60 percent) in newborn babies occurs due to being underweight, especially the premature ones. The efforts are to avoid premature birth and give the best care to the ones that have been born already by finding all the components that are causing it. Very good effects have been found with the group of doctors-obstetricians and pediatricians working together as a group in Prenatal Medical Facilities for high risk pregnancy. Thanks to modern medical technology it has become easier to deal with prenatal care and underweight babies but the most important factor to truly succeed in the hereafter is the human factor, nurses and doctors and possibly the mother of a child who with their knowledge, experience, dedication and conscience will continue to use medical technology for the benefit of healthy child.
