Nowadays, overstressing syndromes are frequent appearance. They occur slowly, overstressing certain tissues of the locomotor system and causing microtraumas. Usually, it is place where bones and tendons are connected, but it is possible to occur cartilage damage, too. Onset of symptoms in the field of ulnar epicondylitis is one of the most common overuse injuries. Lateral (tennis) and medial (golf) epicondylitis is more common in some professional occupations than in sports activities, for example, construction workers, mechanics, violin players, typists etc. The diagnosis is made by taking a medical history, clinical examination (clinical tests) and with the help of radiological methods. Rehabilitation of the ulnar epicondylitis is demanding process and it have to be individually adjusted to each patient. It is based on a conservative and, in rare cases, surgical treatment. During the treatment process there should be good cooperation between doctor, patient, coach or employer and physiotherapist. The most important role in the rehabilitation has kinesis therapy (use of exsercises for stretching and strengthening the forearm) and physical methods, and what is more imortant, patient education about prevention and importance of exercise in preventing recurrence.
